Over more than 125 years, Selkirk has worked closely with broad ranging community groups, acting as a responsible corporate citizen and supporting activities and projects that benefit the community and the environment. Selkirk's support has extended to schools, hospitals, sporting groups, industry bodies, community events and other local charities.

In recent years, Selkirk has been a major supporter of Ballarat's local VFL team, the Selkirk Roosters (link name to www.theroosters.com.au). The relationship is founded on a solid sense of community and a combined focus on strong core values and behaviours.
